A New Natural Art Medium

What is this product?

• Bigtreesart is a NEW natural wood art-medium that presents a “3D effect” as though the viewer perspective is looking between two BIG trees.
• EVERY HAND-CRAFTED ART-PIECE IS UNIQUE IN SIZE, COLOR, BARK DEPTH AND NATURAL WOOD STRESS.
• At about the cost of a good quality picture frame, BigTreesArt medium opens new creative art opportunities never before possible using traditional canvas and frame medium. The natural characteristics such as knot-holes can be transformed into art subject space, like a rabbit or fox den, or a bird nest…  This all natural art medium also makes a unique conversational piece.
• The art medium is typically between 18 ~ 26 inches LONG and between 12~18 inches wide, with a thickness of between 1~2.5 inches.
• The art pieces are the result of legacy (custom) logging-mill FIRST cuts, and are called “slab cuts”. Over the past two years we have developed a process that takes these unique and odd-sized “green plank timbers” and transforms them into art-medium pieces, with the BARK still attached and bonded/sealed to both sides.
• The art-medium “planks” are cut to workable lengths where they are then planed/sanded and SEALED with clear urethane.
• On the back-side a wood router is used to create a “wall-hanging channel” at both ends of the plank. (See our “Back-side” photo BELOW for a more detailed look.)
• They are assigned a “BigTreesArt.com LOGO, product disclosure and a unique registration serial number” and a sales/statistical record is created which contains all manufacturing and process costs, dimensions, product categories, wood specie, natural characteristics narrative, County-of-origin, and linkages to pictures/videos.
• Lastly, the price is determined based upon a size and physical characteristics score-card system (in development).
